One center, the whole city
Penn Village is an adult daycare serving seniors across Philadelphia
Clients travel to our adult daycare from cities and neighborhoods across Philadelphia, and our own Penn Village vehicles help most of them get here.
Penn Village Adult Day Care is a licensed adult day center at 200-220 W. Chelten Avenue in Germantown. We have one location, and members come to it from right across the city and from just over the county line.
Some live ten minutes away in Mount Airy. Others come from West Philadelphia, Olney, Manayunk or Elkins Park. What they have in common is that the weekday hours at home had become long, and someone in the family was worried.
Our door-to-door transportation covers neighborhoods up to about 40 minutes from the center, which is what makes that possible.

Each neighborhood has its own page with travel details, what is nearby and how funding works in that area.
Not on the list? Give us a call. If you are within about 40 minutes of Germantown, there is a good chance we can collect your family member.

Getting here
If your family member cannot get here on their own
This is the part most families worry about first, and it is the part we handle. Nobody has to drive, and nobody has to manage a bus route.
- We collect from their front door.
Not a corner, not a pickup point. The walk to the curb is often the thing that stops someone attending at all, so we remove it. - The vehicles are wheelchair accessible.
Members who use a wheelchair, walker or rollator ride the same vans as everyone else. - We bring them home in the afternoon.
Same routine every day. For someone with memory loss, the familiarity matters as much as the lift. - It is included in the program.
There is no separate transportation charge and no mileage rate to work out.

How far do you go?
Roughly 40 minutes from the Germantown center, which covers most of Philadelphia and nearby parts of Montgomery and Delaware counties.
If you are near the edge of that, call and ask. Routes change as members join, so the honest answer depends on where the van already goes.

The best way to decide is to walk through the place. Call us and we will arrange a time that suits you, or send a message and we will come back to you. Tell us where you live and we will let you know whether we can collect from your street.
